Top Ten Tuesday #1

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
Each week there is a new topic to discuss, so I am psyched to be a part of this!

This weeks topic is:  Top Ten Favorite Books I Read Before I Was a Blogger.  Well, this should be relatively easy since pretty much everything I've ever read has been before I was a blogger, lol.  But as far as favorite books, that might be a little harder.  I'm more of a series girl.  There have been stand alone books that I have loved, but nothing makes my heart beat faster than a well written series.  So, I may be breaking the rules right off the bat, but I'm going to list for you my Top Ten Favorite Book Series I Read Before I Was a Blogger.

1.)  Diana Gabaldon's Outlander Series - If you haven't read this series, you should!  It doesn't matter what genre you like, these books are so well written and the characters are so real, that you will fall in love.

2.)  J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood Series - Warrior vampires.... need I say more?

3.)  George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire Series - If you thought season one of Game of Thrones was good, you wouldn't even believe how much better the books are.

4.)  Pittacus Lore's Lorien Legacies Series - This is more YA than I am usually in to, but these books are just so well written and so suspenseful, that I love them.

5.)  Kim Harrison's Hollows Series - Rachel, Ivy and Jenks are perhaps some of my all-time favorite characters out of all of the series that I have read.

6.)  Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse Series - What's not to love about a seemingly naive southern girl who gets involved with werewolves and vampires?

7.)  Jacquelyn Frank's Nightwalkers Series - Jacob, Gideon, Elijah, Damien, Noah, Adam - all totally yummy and the stories that go along with them aren't too shabby either.

8.)  Christine Feehan's Dark Series - More vampires than I can count, but the story just keeps getting better and better.

9.)  Christine Feehan's Drake Sisters Series - Seven sisters who are badass witches, and who manage to find the men of their dreams.  Perfect!

10.)  Christine Feehan's Ghostwalker Series - Military elite soldiers who have been experimented on to increase their psychic abilities, and women who were tortured by a mad scientist for their otherworldy gifts.  They all come together in hot and sexy stories that are also cram packed with action and romance.  Best of all worlds.

**  Can you tell I love Christine Feehan???  :)

There are a couple more series that nearly made this list, but I'll save those for another post.  Happy reading everyone!

  1. I tried commented before, but there was an error.

I love Christine Feehan, especially the Drake Sisters! The Fire and Ice series, I only read a little bit at a time. I get so drawn into the books, I stop paying attention to anything outside of them! lol

    1. I know what you mean! I couldn't do anything else for like a month until I had finished all of the Fire and Ice series. And I love the Drake Sisters too, but the Ghostwalkers have the top place in my heart. On most days... lol.
