The first day of college gives every girl a chance to reinvent herself.
I go and screw mine up by meeting the most gorgeous guy I've seen in five years while talking to my cat.
But Andrew Crowner is far from judgmental. By the end of our interaction, he has me smitten by his easy manner and kind smile. And from the way his eyes linger on me before he leaves, I start to think that maybe I’ve caught his attention, too.
I let myself believe that luck may finally be on my side. That is, until I stumble on my roommate, and her overnight guest: Spencer Ashford.
Lean, tattooed, and sexy as sin, Spencer is exactly the type I need to avoid. I would have no trouble with that... were it not for his swift and inexplicable interest in me.
Suddenly, I go from a girl with next-to-no experience with boys to one caught in the crosshairs of two completely different men.
Andrew's interest is wholesome and sweet. Spencer's is edgy and raw. My choice should be easy. But there are always complications, and sometimes, matters of the heart take the least expected turns.
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I have always loved books that feature a love triangle, and this book was no exception. College freshman, Paige, arrives at school to move into her dorm and within the first couple of hours on campus already has two boys interested in her. One is wholesome, too-good-to-be-true, Andrew, and the other she finds having sex with her roommate. Spencer is all tattoos, and sex and sin, and everything Paige thinks she needs to avoid.
Paige falls hard for Andrew right off of the bat, and gives Spencer the cold shoulder. She wants nothing to do with his man-whoring ways, but since Spencer has apparently never been rejected, her disinterest only makes him pursue her harder. Unfortunately, unavoidable circumstances come between Andrew and Paige, and they can not be together. This leaves the door wide open for Spencer to make his move. Paige has to decide if he's just playing a game to get her in bed, or if the more sincere, caring side of Spencer is who he really is. And if so, can she trust him enough to give him her heart?
This story was very well written, and had great characters that were well developed and relatable. I do have to say though that I was a little baffled about Paige's aversion to intimacy and sex. For a while there I thought that she had been sexually abused or molested in her past, but I think I figured out that she had just been conditioned to think it was wrong. I didn't feel like this really justified her reaction to waking up in bed with Spencer and the aftermath. It didn't quite gel together and seemed like an extreme over reaction on her part. That was my only complaint about the book: Paige's level of over reaction did not correspond with the trauma (or lack of trauma) from her past.
I loved how the relationship between Spencer and Paige grew organically. While they might have had lust at first sight, or extreme sexual chemistry at first sight, it was NOT insta-love. In fact, Paige went above and beyond to let Spencer know just how much she despised him and his man-whore ways. He had to win her over a little bit at a time. And when he got up on stage and sang at open mic night, I have to say that he made me fall in love with him right along with Paige. I felt bad for Andrew and the circumstances that were out of his control that kept him away from Paige. However, there were a couple of times that he showed some crazy jealous and possessive tendencies that really turned me off to him. I firmly believe that Paige ends up with who she needs to be with.
All I have to say is, I can't wait until the next book in this series comes out, and I swear that Spencer better not break Paige's heart or I'm gonna drag him out of the book and beat him with it, lol!

About the Author
I’m Scarlett Edwards. I wrote my first book as a college sophomore. After six months of edits, it made its debut as Yours to Savor.
That was at the start of 2013. I’ve written more books since then. You can find them all here.
It’s funny how quickly life changes. I used to think I’d need a degree to get a “Real Job.” Then I wrote a few books, they got somewhat popular, and now I’m living the life as a full-time romance author.
Thanks to all my readers for making my dream come true.
