Well, it took until mid-April to finally read a book that I felt deserved to be on my "Favorites of 2013" list. And now that I have, I am so excited to share my recommendation with you! Hopefully over the next few weeks I will have a couple more to add to this list. Enjoy!
1.) Found by Stacey Wallace Benefiel - I usually don't like YA books - but this is verging on being sort of a NA book, plus it is just written so wonderfully, and the story is so amazing, that I literally couldn't put it down! I absolutely loved the main character and her love interest. Their individual voices are so strong and developed that I formed an instant connection with them as soon as the book began. Plus, I always know that I really, really liked a book when the first thing I do after finishing it is jump on Barnes and Noble and instantly download every other book that the author has ever written. I highly recommend this book - whether you like YA/NA or not! Read my review here.
2.) Ten Tiny Breaths by K.A. Tucker - I was really hesitant to pick up this book since there was so much hype about it. I felt like I was setting myself up for disappointment. Boy, was I wrong! I loved this book from page one until the end, and I can't wait for the sequel to come out.
3.) Dark Wolf by Kate Douglas - This is one of the first Paranormal Romance/Erotic books that I have picked up this year and absolutely loved! The two main characters are strong and well written, and there is an amazing secondary cast that I couldn't get enough of. If you are a fan of this genre, I highly urge you to check this book out. It is the first in its series, but there is a companion series that explains the history of the Chanku people and the stories about all of the older generation that is introduced in Dark Wolf.
